ince its inception, KUSI Consulting has been at the forefront of driving meaningful change in the Human Resources industry across Africa. The journey to the prestigious Global Conference on Human Resources in Africa (GCHRA) is a testament to the commitment, innovation, and passion that KUSI Consulting has consistently demonstrated. This journey began with a series of impactful HR conferences (eg. HR Professionals Brunch), laying the foundation for what has become a landmark event in the HR landscape.
In 2019, KUSI Consulting recognized the need for a dedicated platform where HR professionals could come together, share insights, and address the evolving challenges of the workplace. Thus, the HR Professionals Brunch was born. The inaugural event was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse group of HR practitioners, thought leaders, and industry experts. The focus was on creating a collaborative environment where attendees could exchange ideas and strategies to navigate the complexities of the modern workplace.
This first edition set the tone for what would become an annual tradition of excellence, establishing KUSI Consulting as a key player in the HR conference space. Building on the success of the maiden edition, the 2nd annual HR Professionals Brunch was held on February 13th, 2020. The 3rd annual HR Professionals Brunch, held on May 18, 2023, was a pivotal event that marked a return to in-person gatherings. The theme, “Putting the Human Back into Human Resources,” reflected the renewed focus on the human element in HR, emphasizing empathy, well-being, and the importance of human connections in the workplace.
This edition was a celebration of resilience and adaptability. HR professionals came together to share their experiences of navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic and to explore strategies for fostering a more human-centered workplace.
